The special valve of K-COT device was designed for the first time in China
On April 20, CNPC Bohai Equipment Lanzhou Petrochemical Equipment Company successfully completed the product design of 18 sets of special valves. The 18 special valves will be put into use in shandong Lihua Yili Jin Refining and Chemical Co., LTD. 1 million tons/year catalytic cracking olefin (K-COT) unit, which has entered the production and manufacturing stage at present. This is the first time for China to design and produce this type of special valve according to the operating conditions of American K-COT process.
It is reported that The K-COT process is an advanced catalytic cracking technology for olefin production using naphtha as raw material for further processing by KBR Company in the United States. The operating temperature and pressure are higher than those of conventional FCC process. The design temperature of special valve is 11% higher than that of conventional FCC process, up to 800℃. The lanzhou petrochemical equipment Company undertook the design and manufacturing tasks of six kinds of valves, including triple eccentric butterfly valve, double gate valve, single gate valve, baffle butterfly valve, butterfly damper valve, swing check valve and so on. Because there is no domestic production can meet the k-COT device used special valve, the past conventional design methods and design means can not meet the requirements of the new field special valve design, special valve designers are facing great challenges.
